EmotiveDesign Has a Facelift

EmotiveDesign in its current state.
Having changed the look of our site a few months a go, we have become increasingly unimpressed with the dull and dingy feel that now is, and after gathering some feedback from our peers, have decided it is time to act and make a much needed change.
Our new site will be kept in line with the current grungey theme (as we feel grunge is part of our brand), but, will be much more simple and elegant in its design. In addition, we will have a matching theme tied to our blog (currently being sorted) to keep our site looking a whole lot more uniformed.
In fact, it is not just the look we are changing; we are revamping the coding; adding some nice new elements into the design; including a tutorials area for our readers, and; finally making the move to a uk domain name (http://emotivebydesign.co.uk) rather than keeping the old http://emotivedesign.co.cc. We are even planning a small name change For branding reasons, we are now called EmotiveByDesign, and currently working on a new wallpaper, which, will be available for our readers to download for free during the month that the new site goes live. How exciting! =)
So, please be sure to visit us again soon, and keep your eyes open for the changes that are going to take place over the next week or so. We know you will like them =).

Free Wallpaper – Che Guevara / Cuba
We have released this brand new wallpaper, available for free at flickr (update – also available at twitpic).
Joshua Says: “It is inspired by one of my personal heroes Ernesto ‘Che’ Guevara, the Argentinian revolutionary who died fighting for Cuba’s freedom. This wallpaper is one that I quickly put together this evening, and there may be a glossy version available in the near future.”
Please feel free to download the file, and/or leave your comments about it below, we welcome any feedback that we can get. You can also leave your comments on the related flickr page.

The Pirate Bay Set to Win!
After just 3 days in court, the representatives of the torrent site known as ThePirateBay are set to decimate the prosecution and have the case against them thrown out of court. The second day of proceedings alone saw 50% of charges against ThePirateBay dropped either for lack of evidence or because of false accusation.
In fact, whilst the Plaintiff’s – Warner Bros, MGM, EMI, Colombia Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Sony BMG and Universal – are still sweating it out in the court room and grasping at straws, members and supporters of ThePirateBay are accessing the site using wireless access from inside the court room.
During the afternoon of the first day, Peter Sunde (aka Brokep) commented “How the hell did they think this was going to be something else than EPIC FAIL for the prosecution? We’re winning so hard.” Not only is this a statement of ThePirateBay’s confidence, but it also begs the question… did the Plaintiff’s really think they were going to win when even Microsoft failed to support the prosecution for unrecognised redistribution of its own materials?
They know ThePirateBay are untouchable, and have little to gain from the trial. In fact, companies such as Sony have a lot to lose, and with a previous statement from ThePirateBay saying that “In case we lose the pending trial (yeah right) there will still not be any changes to the site. The Pirate Bay will keep operating just as always. We’ve been here for years and we will be here for many more.”, it kind of makes you wonder what was the point in going to court in the first place.
To find out what happens for the rest of the trial follow the case on twitter. You can also find out more at BBC NEWS, and Torrent Freak.
